Helping Rediscover Inner Beauty
 

Arches of Love, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 2011 by Julie Nguyen, owner of Blu Water Day Spa & Salon in Kensington, MD and developer of Glam2 LoveTM Beauty Accessories, inspired by her passion for the art of eyebrow shaping and her commitment to giving back to the community, specifically those suffering from the effects of facial hair loss.

 

A major objective of the foundation is to raise awareness of the emotional struggles people go through when suffering from facial hair loss as well as provide opportunity for those who are not able to afford necessary comfort. A goal of Julie's ambition is to provide hope and inspiration to others who may be faced with these challenges.

Thousands of people suffer from sparse, damaged eyebrows from years of over tweezing and waxing or simply as part of the aging process. Additionally, many people are afflicted by illnesses and diseases, which inhibit the growth of hair in this area.

 

To achieve the foundation’s goals, Arches of Love, will engage in educational and community fundraising programs in support of its mission.

 

Julie also offers customization at her spa, by working with clients to cut and shape eyebrows to the exact size needed. Additionally she instructs clients on how to wear and apply the eyebrows, at the spa, through local workshops and her websites.
